Absorption chillers are refrigeration systems designed to employ heat and a concentrated salt solution (lithium bromide) to produce chilled water. The chiller uses the collection of waste heat from other processes that allows water to be chilled and distributed for cooling needs.听The system uses lithium bromide as the absorbent and water as the refrigerant, eliminating ozone depleting refrigerants and using very little electricity compared to conventional chillers. 听
